Chiang Mai’s representatives in the Baby Crawling
Competition showed their speed and endurance at the Central Kad Suan Kaew
Shopping Complex. All the junior athletes were aged between 8 months to 1
year and not yet walking.

Mae
sure is happy for the 5000 baht, although the winner, little Nong Benz
probably doesn’t know what all the adulation is about. Who cares, she
thinks – she likes it!

Having
just a wee bit of navigation trouble, the little ones are nonetheless racing
away.
This national event was organized by the Bio Consumer Co.
Ltd., along with Dumex One Plus Products and Awesome Organization, to select
our entrants in the final crawl-offs to win the PM Thaksin Shinawatra
Trophy. The regional semi-finals have already been held in Khon Kaen,
Songkhla and Chonburi.

The
next batch of hopefuls pulls up to the starting line.

Getting
ready for the rattle to sound to begin the race.

One
away, one veering to her right, another having a little trouble getting off
the starting line and the fourth crying – just another typical baby race.
Our own Nong Benz (Rattanapol Sinsurin) received 5,000
baht in cash and products for her speed crawl and she has vowed that she
will bring the PM’s trophy back to Chiang Mai. In the meantime, her mother
is just hoping she doesn’t learn to walk!
The second place went to Nong Nat (Nathan Goodall) who
got 3,000 baht cash and products, while 3rd place and the Happy Baby award
of 2,000 baht in cash and children’s products belong to Nong Jayjay (Natanon
Chaipitakkul).
The Chiangmai Mail is behind Rattanapol and
pushing her all the way!
