Last Saturday was one of the happiest days in the lives of 48 children in the care of the “Rejoice Children Project” in Chiang Mai.

The Rejoice Urban Development Project, in short ‘RUDP’, is a multi faceted grassroots project based in the Chiang Mai Province near the foot of the famous Doi Suthep Mountain and temple.

Thailand is currently working on a law which would protect Thai products throughout the international marketplace. This law will mirror that which the World Trade Organization (WTO) defines as ‘geographical indications’ or GIs. Dozens of Thai products may be tagged for geographical-indications protection once the law passes parliament.
