Rotarians from the
Rotary Club of Naresuan, Phitsanulok paid a visit to Youth Exchange
program student Carlos Vargas Herrera from Mexico (in monkhood yellow
robes) who was ordained to enter the monkshood to learn more about
Buddhism for a week long at Wat Santiwan in Phitsanulok Province.

Novotel Chiang Mai Hotel general manger,
Scot Ong (center) recently organized a traditional Songkran ceremony for the
Thai New Year celebration. The hotel staff cooperated by dressing up in the
Lanna Thai style, making merit to Buddhist monks, giving alms to monks, paying
respect to the spirit shrine to prolong the lives of the people at the hotel,
and listening a Buddhist sermon, and then pouring holy water onto the GM and
other elders to bless them for good luck and prosperity.

The Lady Lunch Bunch Group turned out in
a bigger crowd than usual when Rene Vines organized the last meeting at the
beautiful 12 Gables Estate. The group consists of international ladies from all
circles of life, living in Chiang Mai, who are always happy to welcome newcomers

the groom Withawas Tanprasit (3rd left) and the bride Ms Kanya Rattanasunthorn
(4th left), the daughter of the commander of the Chiang Mai provincial police
division, Pol Gen Kasem Rattanasunthorn (right). The wedding reception was held
at the Empress Hotel where the bridal couple was given the best wishes by their
relatives and friends.
