Inflation rises slightly in April

Latest figures show the country’s inflation rate in April was 0.4 percentage points higher than in March and 1.6 percentage points higher than it was in a year ago on April of 2002 due to rising domestic consumption which increased prices of food and beverages.

Chiang Mai and Phuket link up

Chiang Mai and Phuket Tourism Business Associations will launch a new direct flight by Phuket Airlines flying between Chiang Mai and Phuket in September this year. This is an attempt to exchange domestic tourists between the two provinces and cope with the SARS crisis, declared Boonlert Pelera, president of Chiang Mai Tourism Business Association.
