The next Chiang Mai ladies Lunch Bunch
is scheduled at The House Restaurant at noon on Wednesday July 23.
The cost is B280 for a sit down lunch. Those who have already dined at The
House know this is a great price for great food. If you haven’t it will be
a delicious chance to sample a part of the menu. Since it is going to be a
sit down lunch, it is important that the numbers are right. Lots of small
tables and big ones for those who want to be a large group. Please contact

The well known restaurant‚ Le Coq

New Cambridge Institute Thailand will be in Chiang Mai to give
a presentation on July 19th from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at Kad Suan Kaew. The

Chiang Mai University’s Forest Restoration Research Unit is pleased to
announce that its new education program can provide free training and
extension services to schools and other community groups in forestry and
other environmental issues. Discover biodiversity along a forest trail,

Free Aerobic Classes - Chiang
Mai Municipality is teaching aerobic classes free of charge. Monday through
Friday at the old municipality sports stadium (gym 2) between 5 p.m. – 6

Events
A land and house fair and
auction, part of a joint project between Siam Commercial Bank Co.,
Ltd. (Public) and Legal Execution Department, Chiang Mai will be held four
times this year: July 19, August 23, September 6 and Oct 25 at Lotus Pang
Suan Kaew Hotel. Confiscated properties will be auctioned and special
interests in personal loans will be offered to bidders.
The Lanna Art Festival will be held
July 16-23 this year at many sites in Chiang Mai, including the Three Kings
Monument, Chiang Mai City Museum, Thapae Road, Ban Bor Sang Umbrella-Making
center in San Kampaeng District, and Thawai Village in Hang Dong District.

Conference on Religion and Globalization
- Payap University’s Institute for the Study of Religion and Culture
and the Society for Buddhist-Christian Studies, together with other
co-sponsors invite interested people to attend an international and
interfaith academic conference on Religion and Globalization which is being
held from July 27 - August 2, 2003. Interfaith dialogue among Buddhists,
Christians, Muslims and other religious communities will occur and many
international speakers will deliver major plenary addresses throughout the
