Pol Lt Suchai Kengkarnka (center left), managing director of Kad Suan Kaew Shopping Complex presents a basket of flowers to congratulate Chatchai Thongpakdee, an executive from Dance Arena, the newest entertainment place in town, on the occasion of its opening ceremony held on the B1 floor of the mall at Kad Suan Kaew.

Another year has gone by and it was time to reminisce and enjoy the company of friends. Swiss national Victor Haensenberger took the opportunity of his birthday for a spontaneous birthday party amongst friends and combined it with some real European food at the To Nobody Restaurant. From left to right (back row): Saifon and Danny Gardner, Marion Vogt, Karl Eichhorn. (Front row): Panya (Gaed) and Victor Haensenberger and on the very right is Karl-Heinz Behme.

During the weekly meeting of the Rotary Club of Chiangmai West, it was once again time to celebrate the birthdays of the month from the members. As it is custom at this club, it is giving for the underprivileged and not taking for these Rotarians. But from everybody, it comes straight from the heart. Rotarians do not just meet for fellowship but also to carry out a remarkable variety of humanitarian and educational service projects that touch people’s lives in their local community. (From left to right) Receiving the money is Treasurer and Past President Kriankrai Jarukitphiphat, P.P. Surachai Sureephong, P.P. Somjin Ruangkit, P.P. Prayoon Amphaiphant, and on the very right P.P. Veeraphon Thammakhoon.

Bidding farewell to a lovely couple - Kitti and Tom, who have run the Full Monty Pub for a number of years, enjoyed their last evening with friends before traveling on towards their new venture in Mae Tang, where they will run a house boat, providing food, drinks and accommodation. On hand to help clear the beverage stock were Nikki Hopkins and Terry Curtis (2nd and 3d left), the new proprietors, and of course their predecessors, Tom and Kitti, on the far right. The Full Monty will remain a cheerful little nightspot opposite Thapae Gate, where you will always meet a familiar face or two.

Ewan and Keang (2nd and third from right) from Anywhere Bar on Soi Siritorn enjoy an evening out with friends after their own Anywhere Bar recently underwent a complete refurbishing. To find out what happenings are planned ‘anywhere’, just call Ewan on 053 227 195 or just go there. Anywhere is open daily from noon until late.

This photo goes without explanation as you can see that it was party time again at Darling Wine Bar and Pub. This time Dang celebrated his very own birthday and friends, partygoers and customers showed up in crowds to wish him many more happy and exciting years to come. Dang is almost invisible in the midst of all his flowers.

Enjoying Lanna culture and food at its best at the beautiful Fine dining room at ‘Grand Lanna’ are from left to right: Michael Vogt, MD Chiangmai Mail, Mathias Hansen, Panutat Tejasen, CEO Artech Wireless Technology Park, Dr. Sakai, pharmacist. Ladies from left to right: Pranee Hansen, Lawyer, Dr. Somsanguan, assoc. professor and ophthalmologist and Bussaya Tejasen, MD Pinn Beads Unlimited.
