Nature Walk with the Bearhugs Club
at Kum Naresuan (formerly the Erawan Resort) – Maesa Valley. Join the

Grillstation on Charoenpathet Road, opposite the Porn Ping Hotel will
have take away BBQ from Friday, November 7 until Sunday, November 9 for a

Childbirth Preparation Classes
- Especially for first time parents who are interested in the Bradley
method, Juanita Duong, Diane Smith and Lori Rowe work together to teach a
series of two 2-hour classes that will help prepare a couple for the birth
of their baby. After the birth, one of these nurses will also do a follow-up
visit to answer any newborn questions as well as assist with breast-feeding

Environmental education for free! Chiang Mai
University’s Forest Restoration Research Unit is pleased to announce that
its new education program can provide free training and extension services
to schools and other community groups in forestry and other environmental
issues. Discover biodiversity along a forest trail, learn how to grow trees
at our nurseries or join a tree planting day. Classroom events or field
workshops; 1/2 day to 3 day programs to suit your needs. Contact

Free Aerobic Classes - Chiang Mai Municipality is
teaching aerobic classes free of charge. Monday through Friday at the old

Thai Folk Puppets - Chiang
Mai University’s Center for the Promotion of Arts and Culture is
sponsoring a Thai folk puppet exhibition and performance at the Chiang
Mai City Arts and Cultural Center (the building behind the Three
Kings Monument). The exhibition will run from now to November 9,
Tuesday-Sunday, 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. The actual puppet shows will be held

Cinderella on Ice will be
shown from November 9 until November 18, at the Ice Skating Hall of
the 700 year Complex in Chiang Mai. Ice skating enthusiasts as well
as children of any age will be able to see a most colorful show. Tickets are

Remembrance Day, Tuesday November 11 - A
remembrance service will be held at the Chiang Mai Foreign Cemetery,
on Tuesday November 11 in memory of all those who gave their lives in war
and the service of their country. A two minute silence will be observed at
11.00 a.m.; the silence will be preceded by a non-denominational service,
commencing at about 10.45 a.m. After the service visitors are invited to the
Chiengmai Gymkhana Club for refreshments. The Chiang Mai Foreign Cemetery is
on the Chiang Mai – Lampoon Road, about 1 mile south of Nawarat Bridge,
opposite the Electricity Company offices.
The Chiang Mai Buddhakasetra Foundation will
arrange a Shoalin Martial Arts Elite Performance runs through
November 2nd at Sport Stadium 1 of the 700 year Sports Complex. Tickets are
priced at 500 baht (VIP), 200 baht and 100 baht. All incoming money will go
to financially support 660 poor students’ tuition fees as well as food.

Gabriel Guljakin, a German pianist, plays
his 3rd piano concert at AUA Auditorium, called ‘Classical
Highlights’ on Saturday, 1st November 2003 at 18.00. He will be
accompanied by Khun Napat and Khun Sarawit and they will present the Sonata
facile of Mozart, ‘Pathetique’ of Beethoven as well as pieces from
Schubert, Chopin and Rachmaninoff. No entrance fee. Limited seating. More

To the South
The Tourism Authority of Thailand will present the world
premiere of “Katya and the Prince of Siam”, a two act
ballet, at the Thailand Cultural Center in Bangkok on December 13,
with additional performances on the 14, 15, and 16. The ballet will be
performed by the Kremlin Ballet Theater. The ballet was inspired by the
book, “Katya and the Price of Siam” by Narisa Chakrabongse, and it the
love story of a Russian girl and Siamese prince. After Bangkok, the ballet
will premiere in Moscow. The performance is being organized by International
Cultural Promotions and further information should are listed with Thai
