Reiki workshop: Ms Masami Kondo, a peace worker from Japan, together with the Asian healing arts center offers a workshop on Sunday 21 December from 9.00 to 13.00 hrs to introduce the “Divinity IN”, a tool for personal and planetary peace, which involves vocal sounds, breathing and hand movements. The winter season is coming and in order to stay fit and slim The Dance Zone invites everyone who loves modern dance, pop jazz and even hip-hop to train in intermediate and advance techniques. This program will start on December 6 and will go through February 21, every Saturday from 18.00 – 19.30. The instructor Parinye Jittawong, an executive choreographer trains and uses the curriculum of professional dancers. The price is 700 baht per month with a one time registration fee of 300 baht which will be waived for the first 10 people who apply! Childbirth Preparation Classes - Contact Raintree Community Resource Center (053-262-660) if you are interested in the classes, which are offered free of charge. TONIGHT: “A Celebration of Christmas in Music and Dance” by the Chiang Mai Choral Society on December 13, at GongDee Studio. Admission is free but donations to support the Rejoice Urban Development project will be accepted. The society welcomes applications to membership. Christmas Carols and Barbershop favorites at Luce Chapel, Payap University 7-8 p.m. on December 18. Close harmony boys’ choir from King’s School Ely, UK, who have a long tradition of excellence in ‘barber shop’ style singing. The charities involved will be seeking your support through donations of cash or unwanted clothes /items etc. Each charity will set up a tabletop presentation of its particular project at the entrance to the Luce Chapel on the evening. Ticket prices for the concert have been kept deliberately low at 150 baht per seat to encourage your support for these charities, so please give generously.

Southeast Asian Temple Drawings by Associate Professor Mary Griep will be shown at the Chiang Mai City Arts and Culture Center (behind the Three Kings Monument). The exhibition will still run until December 18; Tuesday - Sunday 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Use the rear entrance to the enclosed courtyard for free admission to the temporary exhibits gallery.

Doi Kham Fair 2003 from the Royal Project and the 3rd Agricultural Fair, Northern Region will take place from December 17 - 21, 2003, at the Arts and Culture Center areas of Chiang Mai University on Nimmanhaeminda Road and on Suthep Road, Chiang Mai from 9.00 a.m. to 10.00 p.m. daily.

The Chiang Mai Red Cross and Winter Fair will take place from Dec 30th until Jan 11th nightly at the big field behind City Hall.
