The next Lunch Bunch is ‘pot luck’ at the house of Annelie Hendriks on  Wednesday January 14, 2004 at noon. Please bring a plate of food, homemade or bought, cold or warm, sweet or savory. Annelie will supply plates, cutlery, coffee, tea and of course her own dish. For the brave ones, you can join at around 02.30 p.m. for a bicycle tour of maximum one hour (flat surface was promised) in the beautiful countryside around Annelie’s house. Bikes can be rented. Grillstation will do a big BBQ on Saturday, December 20 from 6.00 p.m. until late. Menu will be -rump steaks on a skewer, where you are your own creator. Imported New Zealand rump steaks on the long spit, grilled over charcoal fire. Eat as much as you can for 250 baht p.p., children 100 baht.

Saturday 27th December from 6.00 p.m. onwards will be a southern style barbecued spare-ribs night!

The Rydges Chiang Mai offers a daily buffet lunch from Monday to Saturday from 11.30 a.m. – 2 p.m. at “Chillis” Restaurant - Thai and international buffet at 200++ baht per person. December 25th: Leisure Brunch at La Gritta from 11.00 a.m. – 14.30 p.m.

Chez Gibus: Wednesday 24th December at 19.30 p.m. 6 course Gala Dinner including a ‘Kir Chardonnay’ 1’350, — Baht. Special children menu for children until 12 years of age free of charge- Reservation (and more information) until latest 21st December at 0 5327 2712.

Fondue House (opposite Central Airport Plaza and Custom Office) created a special Christmas menu for 700 baht p.p. This includes Prawn salad in mustard sauce, Quail soup, Roasted turkey or grilled salmon in champagne sauce, Fruit Sabayong (pudding in vanilla sauce) and coffee or tea. La Veranda will do special X-Mas menus on the night of 24th of December, starting from 6.00 p.m. and on 25th December for Lunch (11.00 – 2.00 p.m.) and dinner. Childbirth Preparation Classes - Contact Raintree Community Resource Center (053-262-660) if you are interested in the classes, which are offered free of charge. Events

Doi Kham Fair 2003 from the Royal Project and the 3rd Agricultural Fair, Northern Region will take place from December 17 - 21, 2003, at the Arts and Culture Center areas of Chiang Mai University on Nimmanhaeminda Road and on Suthep Road, Chiang Mai from 9.00 a.m. to 10.00 p.m. daily.

The Chiang Mai Red Cross and Winter Fair will take place from Dec 30th until Jan 11th nightly at the big field behind City Hall.
