Who was really first?
Sir,
As expected and quite rightly, numerous celebrations of 100 years since the
Wright brothers first flight occurred. There are people in Brazil who
contend that the Wrights were not the first but a Brazilian was. Many years
ago I saw a TV documentary about a New Zealand sheep farmer who it was
claimed was first. I wonder who really was? Can anybody help?
