Travel industry loses a champion

Roberto Jotikasthira

Roberto Jotikasthira, 71, lost his six-month battle with cancer and passed away in a Bangkok hospital on Saturday, January 10. Jotikasthira, managing director of Turismo Thai, was a champion of travel agents and gave his time to the industry by serving a string of associations, including the PATA Thailand Chapter, the United Federation of Travel Agents Associations and the ASEAN Tourism Association. He was always advancing the cause of travel agents and promoting Thailand to the world. He is survived by his wife Awn and their son Nino
