Phuket Air adds new route

Phuket Air adds new route

Marion Vogt

After the successful start in the northern region with the Chiang Mai-Chiang Rai route, Phuket Air has added a second direct route to its growing number of domestic flights. Chiang Mai residents can now fly directly to Udon Thani, the northeastern capital of Isan being promoted heavily by the TAT for its world heritage site of the prehistoric culture of Ban Chiang and as the prime business center of Isan.

Isan dancers welcomed the first flight to Udon Thani.

The 90-minute flight is made enjoyable by the friendly flight crews. Phuket Air, as a full fare airline, has realized the importance of providing the best quality service to their passengers.

(From L) Jutamas Gajajiva, Phuket Air; Suthara Huangsuwan, Chiang Mai International Airport; Captain Patana Tareekes, Phuket Air and Jarin Benjamanee, Phuket Air Chiang Mai Station Manager (front row).

Group Captain Patana Tareekes, the Vice President of Administration for Phuket Air said Phuket Air puts a high priority on customer-oriented service. He said the main target group are business people or package tour groups and the next stage of expansion will include long haul destinations.

Udon Thani group shot with all the local business people and the governor of Udon Thani, Chaiyaporn Rathanaka.

Phuket Air has already finalized code-sharing arrangements with Thai Airways International, British Airways, Air France, Qantas, Eva Air and Emirates.

Udon Thani province turned out in force to welcome Captain Patana Tareekes and the passengers on the inaugural flight with flowers, beautiful Isan dancers and the Governor of Udon Thani, Chaiyaporn Rathanaka expressed his joy in seeing the north of Thailand connected with Isan.

Phuket Air offers special promotional airfares for many of its routes. For more information, call the Chiang Mai Office on 0-5392 2118-9.
