Panisa Gallery presents the art exhibition: ‘The

Exhibition of 30 photos ‘Adhemar Leclere and the
Phnong’ will still be shown at the EFEO premises in Chiang Mai
(opposite the Alliance Francaise) until April 8, 2004.
Songkran activities in
Cultural processions of 8 Lanna provinces and 5
countries in the Mekong Sub-region on Saturday, April 10 from 4.30
p.m. – 8 p.m. The processions will begin at the Wing 41, Sanam Bin Road
heading to Chaeng Ku Hueang, entering through Suan Dok Gate. The end of the
processions will be at Nong Buak Hat Public Park. The principle ceremony
will take place in front of Nong Buak Hat Public Park at 6:30 p.m.
A musical fountain show entitled The River of
Friendship, Lanna Civilization, and Cultures will be shown daily at
9.30 p.m. from Friday April 2 - Sunday April 15 on the bank of the Mae Ping
River, in front of the Office of the Chiang Mai Municipality.
Happenings At Nong Buak Hat Public Park:
Daily from 5 p.m. – 10 p.m. Friday April 2 - Sunday
April 11: Cultural presentations and demonstrations of the 5
Greater Mekong Sub-region countries and the group of the 8 upper northern
provinces will be shown daily at Nong Buak Hat Public Park. Represented will
be the 8 upper northern provinces and the five Greater Mekong Sub-region
Daily from 4 p.m. – 10 p.m.: Exhibition of OTOP
products from the 8 Lanna provinces, demonstration and sales of
Grand Lanna cuisine and products from the Royal Projects.
From Friday April 9 – Sunday April 11: Tourism
trade and consumer fair.

Open mike is cancelled - Due to a horde of
drunken cricketers taking over the Irish Pub and Songkran afterwards,
there will be no Spoken Word on April 6. April 20 will be the next SW. In
order to give more people a chance to read after the cancellation, no

regular Open Mic format.

Childbirth Preparation Classes - Especially for
first time parents who are interested in the Bradley method, Juanita Duong,
Diane Smith and Lori Rowe work together to teach a series of two 2-hour
classes that will help prepare a couple for the birth of their baby. After
the birth, one of these nurses will also do a follow-up visit to answer any
newborn questions as well as assist with breast-feeding if needed. Contact Raintree

CMU Art Museum is showing free classic movies

11: Sweet and Low Down, USA -1995- comedy, directed by Woody

Subnotic Events Agency, an international event and
entertainment company are organizing a fund-raising event with
show and performers at the beginning of June in Chiang Mai. They would like
to get in contact with small and medium sized charity organizations and
individuals in Chiang Mai and Northern Thailand who need urgent funds for
their charity project and are interested in explaining their project at this
