Dear Chiangmai Mail,
I would like to commend you for your honesty in journalism. The article
about “the American found dead “ although extremely sad for the families
and the reader showed a braveness on your part knowing that the majority of
the readers to your newspaper are probably foreigners. As a foreigner, with
future ideas of moving to Thailand, one must realize that paradise can be
dangerous like everywhere else in the world.
Maybe a course for future journalistic articles might be
safeguard procedures for farangs who now make there home in Thailand.
Again, I am impressed in your honesty to print the
article instead of ignoring the story as being bad business for tourism.
Sincerely,
Vincent O’Connor
