Unseen Thailand promotional
Even more to be ‘seen’ this year
The “Unseen Thailand” campaign, which was initiated
last year, has been so successful in promoting tourism that the concept is
being run for the second time, claims the local branch of the Tourism
Authority of Thailand (TAT).
Chalermsak Suranant, director of the TAT, Northern
Office, Region 1, said that the campaign was a continuation of last
year’s project. In this second phase, the TAT has chosen attractive
tourist sites, to be the magnet for visitors.
They include adventure, cultural and life style
attractions as well as temples and other holy places. Combined with the
places of interest promoted last year, it is hoped that Unseen Thailand
will cover all interests for all tourists in every province.
All the information is available in the new handbook
“Unseen Thailand 2”. It includes sites in the Northern region such as
the Pong Duad Hot Springs, Kaew Komol Cave National Park in Mae Hong Son,
Chedi Kud, Wat Charmma Thewi in Lamphun and monks and novices riding horses
to receive alms in Chiang Rai.
“Unseen Thailand 2” is available at the TAT offices,
Seed book center branches and at Bangchak petrol stations.
