Clubs
The Writers’ Group has re-launched itself and
appeals to all writers to join their informal discussions and work critique.
There are two meetings (each about 90 minutes); the informal
‘Scribblers’ meets on the second Wednesday of each month
to discuss elements of novel and short story writing, while the more serious
‘Wordsmiths’ meet every fourth Wednesday to critique
selected work of the members. These take place at the Writers’ Club and

“Lanna History Seminar ” on
September 16 at the conference room of Wiang Haeng
Wittayakom School in Wiang Haeng district, Chiang Mai. The seminar will
include evidence of a pre-history human community discovered in Wiang Haeng
district, archeological exploration and excavation at historical sites in
Wiang Haeng district. Lecturers will be Dr Prasith Auetrakulwit and Asst
Prof Chartchai Romson, from archeology faculty of Silpakorn University,
Group Capt Sakpinich Promthep, head of the history division of the Royal
Thai Air Force and Dr Phattaya Yimrewat, Assistant Director of Mahidol
University.
