The next meeting of the Informal Northern Thai Group
(INTG) is on Tuesday, April 19, 2005 at the Alliance Francaise in Chiang
Mai: Dr. Sombat Tapanya will give a talk on “Abused women and children”.
His talk will cover three areas of problems with violence in Thai society:
child abuse, violence against women, and youth violence. He will present his
analysis of the causes, the effects, and ways to prevent or reduce this
