Ladies Lunch Bunch Group meets on Wednesday April 20 at noon at the beautiful lakeside country setting of the ‘Bua Restaurant’. The next meeting of the Informal Northern Thai Group (INTG) is on Tuesday, April 19, 2005 at the Alliance Francaise in Chiang Mai: Dr. Sombat Tapanya will give a talk on “Abused women and children”. His talk will cover three areas of problems with violence in Thai society: child abuse, violence against women, and youth violence. He will present his analysis of the causes, the effects, and ways to prevent or reduce this violence in Thai society. The Writers Club and Wine Bar is showing work of young Thai artists until the end of May. Amongst others, artist Kom Suwanakerd, a graduate of Rachamongkon Technology Institute’s Fine Arts Department is exhibiting works entitled “Pace of Life”.
