For the ninth consecutive year, the Amari Rincome Hotel, in co-operation with the Angkhang Nature Resort organized their Family Fun Rally over the May 1st weekend.

Off we go!

35 cars with 90 people were challenged with various activities, such as composing the Rally song of the year, learning and repeating hill tribe sentences, and a lot of other funny silly things which you can only do in a car.

As this rally route is known to be a very scenic one, the outdoors was also a part in the games. Before lunch was served at one of the scenic points on route, (catered by the Amari Rincome), the participants had to go through some exercises to build up an appetite.

The hills are quite steep up to Doi Angkhang.

For those who were not yet satisfied after lunch, the afternoon brought a surprise in form of a snack-game called ‘Thai Fear Factor’ and one team member of each car had to eat five tasty (?) bugs as quickly as they could. Competitors who had been through that exercise before were closely watching to make sure that nothing of that ‘appetizing’ snack was lost.

After more afternoon challenges, the Teams finally reached the “Finish” banner, placed prominently across the main entrance to the Angkhang Nature Resort.

The evening featured dinner and the prize-giving ceremony. TAT Director Junnapong Saranak, who was a contestant himself, and HSH Prince Bhisadej Rajani presented the prizes to the winners and runners-up, as well the booby prize for the Team which came in last.

Another fun rally, perhaps a little quieter than in previous years but nevertheless huge thanks went to everyone who helped make the weekend what it was – a great family fun weekend.

Dress up as a hill tribe couple and learn the hill tribe language.

Sunday morning after a very successful rally a final photo and a promise not to miss the next one.
