A matchmaker service of sorts is fixing up families
with pets who really need homes. The Lanna Dog Rescue, a very active
group in Chiang Mai, is determined to improve the lives of abandoned and
sick dogs that should have happy homes. Temples often act as shelters for
unwanted dogs. The Lanna Dog Rescue is working with temples by organizing
sterilizations, and providing vaccinations, medical care and food. For
