Sheraton Chiang Mai Hotel held their
staff party at the Imperial Grand Hall, Imperial Mae Ping Hotel. The
ceremony was opened by Charintorn Haprasert, Assistant Managing Director
of Sheraton Chiang Mai Hotel.

Anna Bloch and Dr. Hugo Unternaehrer
from Switzerland were invited by the Siriraj Nurses Alumni Association,
under the Royal Patronage of Her Royal Highness the Princess Mother, to visit
the school Ban Dong Moo 5 in Mae Hong Son, where both presented donations.

A Christmas evening among friends was
celebrated at the Wongmalee Estate, under a huge Christmas tree. Family
and friends were treated to delicacies prepared by To Nobody German
Restaurant, and German wines helped to shake off the chilliness that night. Host
Lance Lewis (front row, with necktie!) was a happy camper.

8,000 baht was raised by students from the Christian
German School Chiang Mai (CDSC), selling hand-made products at their
Christmas show. The money goes to the Akha boarding house “Elim” in Chiang
Rai which offers education for young Akha children from the mountains. Ajarn
Somsri and the principal of the German School Matthias Wolf presented
the money to Lothar Sommerfeld, one of the initiators of that project.
