The Garden Party which took place at Insii Thai House, Maechan, on Sunday February 19, 2006, will certainly be a lasting memory for the guests, as one of the major events of the Chiang Rai community.

The plasticware is finally ours!

And so the final was upon us. For the first time in their three year history, the Faran-
gutans had a genuine chance to win some silverware - or in this case some rather fetching “plasticware”! Yes, the mini tournament which had been running over consecutive weeks in a wonderfully friendly atmosphere, culminated in a final showdown between hosts Pu Ka and the mighty Farangutans. A win and a draw in the previous games had set up this trophy opportunity, and one which all connected with the club were keen to embrace.

On February 6, 2006, Grades 7 and 8 loaded their luggage into a mini-bus and we were on our way. The first destination was Sukhothai.

At the Chiang Mai Expats Club meeting, it was announced that Joe Sander’s hike for next Saturday will be a 3-4 hour down hill hike from the top of Doi Suthep to the Wat. Not difficult, but walkers should be fit.
