Chiang Mai Ballet director, ML Preeyapun Sridhavat, again brought the power and beauty of ballet to Chiang Mai, where as artistic director, she brought over 300 participants to this week’s performances at the Kad theatre to delight local enthusiasts and dignitaries.

The 19th Chiang Mai International Cricket Sixes lived up to the reputation of the previous 18 events, with some great cricket as well as centuries being achieved, despite the heat.

“Bug World”, learning center for bug enthusiasts in Ratchaphruek 2006

The Department of Agriculture has established “Bug World”, to be permanently located in 400 square meters of the Exhibition Center at the forthcoming International Horticulture Exposition. The Department is still searching throughout the country for rare insects to exhibit in Ratchapruek 2006. Both students and tourists will be able to experience a real bug’s world in this living laboratory.

A photographic exhibition will be held by ML Aniwat Suksawad, an expert in Astronomy from Chiang Mai University, who has appreciated photography since he was a child at primary school. The pictures express the artist’s love of surrounding nature, and encourage viewers to search deep down into the human mind.
