The ‘real’ Songkran

Celebration of the Songkran Festival in Chiang Mai again
attracted huge crowds of tourists from all around Thailand and the world.
The city has weaved its magic with the mixture of merit making in Lanna
style with water splashing on every street and soi in the city, and
especially around the city canal.

the ball sinks into the cup. Successful putts are the ecstatic climax to any
hole in golf ญ the reward for intense concentration and accurate
analysis of the line and speed of the green. But I’d like to know how the
Champ would deal with a tricky shot through the door of a miniature
windmill.

On 4-6 April, the Shan temple of Wat Papao in Chiang Mai
held the annual novitiation ceremony, where 86 Shan boys were attired and
honored as princes before being ordained as novices.
