Exhibition:”The Natural Treasure Lanna…The Charm of the North” a Painting Exhibition by Jay Surasen at Exhibition Centre, Sofitel Central Plaza Bangkok from 1st – 30th June 2006 at 9.00 a.m. – 6.00 p.m. Part of the proceeds from the sale of work during the exhibition will be donated to “The Earth Safe Project for Conservaton of The Ping River Water Source” Amphur Chiang Dao, Chiang Mai Province.

Exhibition: The Faculty of Fine Arts, Chiang Mai University proudly presents the Solo Exhibition of “Black Magic” by Udom Chimpakdee. Find out how much are can explain the beliefs of sacred items which people still believe in our society nowadays. Those items came from the beliefs and faiths of local people that they have faith in, but its value and meaning have change follow the favor, the taste and behavior of human. Violin Recital by Vadim Tchijik at the Alliance Francaise on Monday April 24, 2006 at 7.30 p.m. The programme will include works of J-S Bach, Paganini, Kreisler and Ysae. Contemporary Art from Myanmar at The Dhara Dhevi Gallery, Mandarin Oriental Dhara Dhevi, Chiang Mai from April 8 – May 31, 2006. An extraordinary selection of 16 of the top contemporary artists in Myanmar, comprising a total of 50 works is one of the largest showings of contemporary Myanmar art in one venue in Thailand.

Date Change: Chiang Mai Voices, a new choral group under the leadership of Rainy Riding, the longtime director of the Chiang Mai Choral Society, will join with Payap University’s Sacred Singers to perform Saturday evening, May 20, at 7 p.m. in the AUA Auditorium for a FREE Christian Music Celebration. Just Friends’, a woman quartet will complete the show.

“Footlight’, a tribute to Broadway! Please mark June 3 on your calendars for the Chiang Mai Choral Society International’s performance of Broadway favorites. The show will feature solos, ensembles, and choral performances of tunes from Fiddler on the Roof, West Side Story, Camelot, Cats, Sound of Music, Music Man, South Pacific and others. You don’t want to miss this one.

Dino Fantasy Park World Tour, explore the jungle and hunt for dinosaurs on 20,000 square meter of area at Muan Jai Outdoor Courtyard, Central Airport Plaza in Chiang Mai. Experience dinosaur land from Jurassic Park, everyone will experience T-Rex puzzle as tall as 3-storey building, a pack of real raptors, 3-horned Triceratops, and 40 kinds of dinosaurs from April 14 – May 14, 2006. ‘Overstay fine’ more than doubles! The Thai Immigration Bureau has announced that the overstay fine will be changed from 200 baht per day to 500 baht per day effective Wednesday, March 15. This may be of particular interest to tourists, visiting guests, maids, and contractors.
