FERC elects new board member

Donna Dauenhauer has been elected as a member on the board of directors of FERC.

Donna Dauenhauer was recently elected to membership on the Board of the Foundation for the Education of Rural Children, FERC. Mrs. Dauenhauer is a graduate of Eastern Illinois University with a major in English and a minor in French. She taught high school in the United States before she and her family moved to Thailand. Her voluntary activities in both the U.S. and Thailand are vast, with many activities supporting the work of the Girl Scouts and Girl Guides as well as the International School of Bangkok. She co-authored A Thai Tapestry, a History of the International School of Bangkok’s fifty years in Thailand, and was integral to the planning and execution of the 50th year reunion in 2002. Since moving to Chiang Mai, she has worked in several volunteer capacities for the Foundation for the Education of Rural Children (FERC), most recently working with FERC in the production of its annual fund-raising Gala. The Foundation elected her to Board membership in recognition and appreciation of her organizational and leadership skills, and her dedication to the education of Thai and tribal children in need.
