meets in Bangkok

The six clubs of Thailand and their presidents joined Khun Malai
Sakolviphak, Skal International (SI) Thailand President, at the Chaophya
Park Hotel in Bangkok recently for its bi-annual Executive Committee Board
meeting.
During the meeting the presidents discussed a wide range of topics including
the upcoming Skal World Congress 04-09 Nov 2007 in Turkey and the Asian Area
Congress 21-25 May 2008 in Koh Samui. SI membership development was high on
the agenda, the clubs reporting a 64% jump in Thailand membership over the
past five years.
United lowers fares to the US
United Airlines’ “USA Fantastic Fares” is offering lower fares to six
popular U.S. cities including Los Angeles, San Francisco, Denver, Chicago,
Washington, D.C. and New York.
The return fares for departures Monday to Thursday are: Los Angeles or San
Francisco 29,500 baht, Denver 34,500 baht, Chicago or Washington DC 34,000
baht and New York 35,000 baht.
For departures on Friday to Sunday the corresponding fares are: Los Angeles
or San Francisco 31,500 baht, Denver 38,000 baht, Chicago or Washington DC
37,000 baht, and New York City 38,000 baht.
Eric Wilson, United Airlines general manager for Thailand said: “Whether you
are traveling for business or leisure, these low fares make it possible to
visit some of America’s most popular destinations.”
Outbound travel must commence between September 17 and December 14, 2007,
with a minimum stay of three days and a maximum of 60. Other terms and
conditions apply.
