A big turnout at longtime Chiang Mai expat Klaus’ birthday party who celebrated 39 for an umpteenth time.

At the L’Coq d’Or restaurant Prof Dr Pongsak Angkasit, president of Chiang Mai University and friends jointly hosted a farewell party for the outgoing Chiang Mai Governor Wichai Srikwan (fourth from left), who was promoted as the new Director General of the Local Administration Department in Bangkok, and also a congratulatory party for Mr. Wachara Tantranont (third from left), on being named Honorary Consul of Korea in Chiang Mai.

The monthly Quiz night at the Garden Bar of the Lotus hotel brought smiles to “The Brave Ones” Tim McGuire, Mark Walder and Klaus Schmidt who won that evening.
