The very popular Honda Racing Fest is coming to Chiang Mai, with the
exciting races being held on Sunday June 22. The 2.4 km circuit is on public
roads which will be closed to normal traffic on that day and encompasses the
area in front of the Royal Flora gardens.
Four categories of racing cars will compete on the Sunday, commencing at 10
a.m. and finishing around 4 p.m. They include the intensely competitive
Civic One Make Race and Jazz One Make Race, where the drivers compete in
identical race cars plus the Honda Pro Club and the Cup Race.
Honda is very involved in world motor sport, racing in the top formulae with
Formula 1 and Moto-GP for motorcycles, and it is good to see the enthusiasm
for the sport coming right through to local competition in Chiang Mai.
