Anyone for racquetball?

Honda Race-Fest noise and pollution

Dear Editor,
Regarding the Honda Racing Fest held on the weekend of June 21-22: unfortunately at least two moo baans in proximity to this event cannot completely share the Chiang Mai Mail’s “enthusiasm for the sport coming right through to local competition in Chiang Mai.” Over two days, the noise of racing cars, petrol fumes coming into homes, and cars choking off the entrance to at least one moo baan made this event less successful for residents in the Flora Ratchaphruek area. All this in addition to access roads being blocked off for the purpose of a private company’s marketing event. Next year, one can only hope that Honda will show more consideration to its neighbors/customers, and that the sponsors of this event, the Tourist Authority of Thailand and Honda Automobiles, Thailand, amongst others, will be more circumspect in authorizing a more appropriate venue. Holding motor races which disturb the peace of several hundred residents should not be permitted at this location.

Anyone for racquetball?

Hi,
Thanks for all the great info on your website. I was wondering if there are any racquetball facilities in Chiang Mai, that you are aware of. My wife and I both enjoy the game, along with tennis, and were wondering if we should bring both types of rackets, when we move to Chiang Mai, this August. Thanks for any help...
John
