“On your Bike” at the Bicycling Club

Dear Editor,
I was very pleased to read about Officer Thanedphol’s decision to ride a bicycle to and from work, and that he’s inspired three fellow officers to do the same. We all know this is better for the world’s environment as well as for the rider’s health and bank balance.
I’d like to invite all of these officers, and anyone else, to visit the Chiang Mai Sunday Bicycling Club. We meet every Sunday at Thapae Gate at 7:00 a.m. I haven’t driven a motor vehicle since December 1999, but I’ve found that simply adding this Sunday ride to my usual routine has done wonders for my endurance. I’m certain we’d all agree that police officers with strong endurance are a good thing.
Michael LaRocca
