Hang Dong textile and jewellery museum gives glimpse into Lan Chang culture

A small museum in Hang Dong, Chiang Mai, focuses on ancient silks and jewellery from the time of Lan Chang dynasty, ancient rulers in Luang Prabang. The museum contains many ancient textiles, including Buddhist silks, gold and silver-embroidered fabrics, shoulder cloths, and a breast cloth belonging to Chao Soimala’s ancestor, Chao Yamkhamphang, as well as jewellery, hairpins and other ornaments.
