A very special and spectacular party was held last Friday at Baan
Wong Malee, to celebrate the 15th birthday of Cue, a young man who, together
with his parents, is the protégé of Lance Lewis, who has generously helped
the family in many ways. Over 100 local residents were there to join in the
celebrations, with friends even flying in from Hawaii for the occasion.

MC Bow ensured that everything went smoothly, and that everyone, as well as
the birthday boy himself, had the best time ever. Traditional dancers
Thongiing arrived from Chiang Rai and delighted the guests with their
display of Thai, Burmese and Balinese dances. Top of the bill was Academy
Fantasia star and heartthrob, Boy, who thrilled everyone by walking around
the tables as he sang, rather than staying on stage.
Another highlight of the evening was a film and slideshow of Cue and his
father’s visit to the Grand Canyon, where, according to their guides, the
pair were the first Thais ever to make the famous ‘run’ through the canyon.
The party itself was filmed from start to finish, and a copy will be sent to
Cue’s guides – a lovely idea. Altogether a wonderful evening to remember.
