C.M.A.C. Tennis Championships at Prem

C.M.A.C. Tennis Championships at Prem

The six individual champions from the 2009 Chiang Mai
Athletic Conference (C.M.A.C.) Tennis Championships.

CMM Reporters
Prem Tinsulanonda International School was the venue on Saturday, January 17 for the Chiang Mai Athletic Conference (C.M.A.C.) Tennis Championships. This was a new event on the C.M.A.C. calendar last year and this year younger age groups were trialed, which proved very successful as the largest participant groups were in the Under 11 and Under 13 divisions. There were also Under 16 and Under 20 divisions and altogether over 50 students were involved representing the seven CMAC schools.
At the end of the day there were six champions and six runner ups. Listed below are the successful students and the schools they represented. Prem did not enter any of their “Team Elite” players as many of these have world rankings.
The Prem Academy coaches assisted with the running of the tournament and they did so in a very professional manner. This C.M.A.C. tennis event was a great success and it will likely be elongated into a two-day event including a doubles tournament in the future.
Results: U11 Boys Champion: Charles (Lanna Int. School), Runner-up: Rico (Prem Tinsulanonda Int. School); U13 Girls Champion: Pakwan (Grace Int. School), Runner-up: Lucy (Prem Tinsulanonda Int. School); U13 Boys Champion: Sonny (Chiang Mai Int. School), Runner-up: Rinato (Prem Tinsulanonda Int. School); U16 Boys Champion: Andie (Prem Tinsulanonda Int. School), Runeer-up: Chan Young (Grace Int. School); U20 Girls Champion: Samata (Prem Tinsulanonda Int. School), Runner-up: Nana (American Pacific Int. School); U20 Boys Champion: Chan Sol (Grace Int. School), Runner-up: Note (Prem Tinsulanonda Int. School).
