Other events

The Fourth of July! Early notification of invitation from the Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States of America on behalf of the US Consulate-General to the annual celebration of Independence Day to be held this year from 2 pm to 8 p.m. in the grounds of the Chiang Mai Municipal Stadium. Admission 100 baht, includes entertainment, games, door prizes and a firework display. No parking will be allowed; please take a taxi or ask a friend to drop you off.

Informal Northern Thai Group: A presentation on 18th - 20th Century Thai and Other Southeast Asian Paintings of the Lord Buddha will be given at the Alliance Franšaise meeting rooms by James Bogle on June 9 at 7.30. James is an expert on Asian art, and a dedicated collector of the genre.

Exhibitions and concerts

International Song Festival presents an evening of Italian madrigals and the Birth of Opera, given by the Anima Mundi Early Music Ensemble, led by Antoine Garth. Xavier Flute Studio presents a“Classical Cartoon Concert” at AUA on June 6 at 7.30 p.m. Xavier Vichitporn, flute and Remi Namthep; electone present famous cartoon tunes with a powerful sound, Musicians will dress as cartoon characters.
