The Seven Fountains Educational Sponsorship Programme
is currently supporting the educational needs of 450 children who live in
extreme poverty, paying for school fees, uniforms, textbooks, transportation and
boarding for those who live far away from schools. The programme’s annual Dinner
and Silent Auction will take place on October 31 at Seven Fountains Spirituality

Kad Saeng Tien candle light market to welcome tourists and visitors to Mae Hong

recently awarded the World Festival of Puppet Art’s special Award for Poetic
Interpretation in Prague, have lost their pitch in the Sunday Walking Market as

Book Launch of ‘Songs of Memory, Traditional Music of
the Golden Triangle’, by Victoria Vorreiter on Sunday, 1
November 2009 1- 5 pm at the Suriwongse Book Centre, 54, 54 / 1 Sridonchai Road,
Haiya, Muang, Chiang Mai 50100. The launch will include a Photo Exhibit, ‘People
with Hats – the Traditional Peoples of the Golden Triangle’. The exhibition will
continue until November 15.
An Art Exhibition, ‘Moving in Mind’, by Kamol
Tamseewan, will be presented from 2 - 29 October 2009 at CMU’s Art Centre,
Nimmanhaeminda Road. Kamol is a talented young artist who made waves at ART
Singapore last year. His exhibition is based on images of local life in his home
village outside Chiang Mai, including a highlight of 6 large canvases and many
abstract and contemporary artworks.
Chiang Mai Zoo is staging an exhibition of Panda
photos “from the past to present” to celebrate the 6th year
since the panda couple of Lin Hui and Chuang Chuang were brought to Chiang Mai
