Orphans and grandparents received 10 scholarships and assistance under the Grandma Cares Partnership Program at the opening of the “A Day at the Night Safari October 17. Khunying Bupphan Nimmanhaeminda, President and Founder of New Life Foundation under the patronage of H.R.H. The Princess Mother, presented the awards.


Three rural schools in Chiang Mai received 40 computers from the Rotary Club under the Matching Grant Program. The Rotary Club of ThinThaiNgam, under President Dr. Ratree Pimpanth and club members with President Robert Lee, Rotary Club of Pontian, Johor, Malaysia, and PP Dr. Ho Loon Shin, of RC Johor Bahru, Kulai, Malaysia presented computers to the Ban Luk Pan School in Sannameng on October 15.


Introducing a new seafood buffet, to be held every Saturday night beginning November 7 at the Amari Rincome hotel, is Wim Fagel, 4th right, the general manager of the Amari Rincome Hotel, Chiang Mai, accompanied by the hotel’s chef, kitchen staff and hotel management at a dinner reception held poolside at the hotel. The hotel plans to offer special prizes for tourists partaking of the buffet.
