Classical guitarist Ko Thet Shwe, resident guitarist at The House Restaurant, performed for the audience at the ArtSpace in Chiang Mai Monday, December 1. This self taught artist played pieces he plans to perform in Bangkok in front of a panel of judges this December in order to qualify for the FTCL (Fellowship of Trinity College, London), in guitar performance.


Puangthong Nantakwang, owner of the U-Mong Inn, (6 left) joins visitors for the grand opening of the U-Mong Inn on December 17, 2009 after she pulled back the curtains to unveil the sign, officially opening the 23 room hotel decorated with Lanna antiques.


Professionals of sound engineering from Switzerland, Reinhardt Birri and Jindarat Rattanawiriyaphong (centre) together with Bruno Gsell (2nd left) and their music minded team pose in from of the Sawan Music Bar at the soft opening celebrations held recently. The bar is located on the Chiang Mai - Lampang superhighway, opposite the National Museum.
