Thailandfreunde enjoys Christmas with students from the School for the Blind

Members of Thailandfreunde celebrated Christmas Eve with a surprise
visit to children at the School for the Blind near Suan Dok gate. The
approximately 230 students that live and study there enjoyed presents,
Christmas treats and singing Christmas carols with the members of
Thailandfreunde.

A visit to Chiang Mai’s newest district,
named in memory of HRH Princess Galyani

The Galyani Vadhana District, named after H.M. King Bhumibol’s
Adulyadej’s late sister, H.R.H. Princess Galyani Vadhana, has become not
only Chiang Mai Province’s newest district but also the latest tourist
attraction to offer visitors and residents the sights and sounds of nature.
The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) invited members of the press on a
2-day trip to Galyani Vadhana district starting December 26.

add to my list of ‘regular favourites’. To start this year:

Claude Gariepy of Fitzcarraldo Inc, Sally Ward, the 200 Club’s event
organizer and Gary Newitt of Mr. Moo Co. Ltd at the 200 Club’s
charity dinner at the Amari Rincome Hotel. The event raised 100,000
baht on December 19, with the 200 Club raising 370,000 baht during
the year, to be divided equally between Lanna Dog Rescue centre and
the new elephant clinic at Maetang Elephant park.
Presentation of the money will be at a gala dinner at the Chedi
Chiang Mai on January 19. Tickets 1500 baht. Contact
