Department of Livestock chief injured in accident in motorcade of HRH Princess Sirindhorn

 

The Director General of the Livestock Department, Preecha Somboonprasert and Nara Lanowittaya, the Director of Phitsanulok’s Informal Education department both suffered broken bones after their vehicle went off the road and into the ravine on January 22, both were airlifted to the to Maharaj Nakorn Chiang Mai Hospital.

H.E. Admiral Usni Pramoj and his quintet of skilled musicians performed at the Four Seasons Hotel Chiang Mai on Saturday January 23 in benefit of the Viengping Children’s Home. The Viengping Children’s Home was established in 1986 as a baby care unit and was expanded two years later to include orphans from the entire Northern region.

Spicy Bollywood

Last week I was mulling over the fact that a number of major cuisines (or countries) were under-represented in the City. This included Indian food and I was soon urged by a friend to try a comparatively new place not that far from Thaphae Gate. It is called, quite amusingly, Spicy Bollywood after the movie notion, but the decoration is not given over to stars or aspects of their silver screen but to a ‘garden’ or mini jungle atmosphere.
