Chakri Day celebrated April 6

Chiang Mai Governor Amornphan Nimanant presided over the ceremony to mark Chakri Day on April 6, at Chiang Mai University’s Convention Center. Northern dignitaries, international consuls, government officials, and members of the public attended the ceremony held to honor the founding of the current reigning Chakri Dynasty in 1782.

Many tournament goers, in between watching the cricket, having a few cold beers and enjoying the food on offer may have looked at the lovely old colonial building and wondered about its history.

Networking One at the lovely Rachamankha Hotel

The latest installment of the Networking One meeting in Chiang Mai took place once again at the lovely and tranquil Rachamankha Hotel on April 8. The hotel can be found behind Wat Phra Sing inside the moat, it is a bit of a chore to find, but well worth the journey as the hotel is set in tranquil surroundings and offers tasty food.
