Mayor launches good health campaign

Chiang Mai Mayor Tassanai Buranupakorn launched a new campaign for good health in conjunction with the World Health Organization (WHO) on April 22. The Chiang Mai Municipality along with the 16th Conservation Area Management, Chiang Mai Office, and Chiang Mai Iam project launched the project called, “1000 cities, 1000 lives to help protect quality of northern people’s life.”

Chiang Mai Golf Festival tees off next weekend

The Northern region is set for its very own amateur golf tournament with the announcement of the “Chiang Mai Golf Festival 2010”, which will be held through May –June this year at selected golf courses in and around Chiang Mai and Lamphun provinces.

Strictly vegetarian

While I confess I do like the occasional steak and burger, I am not averse to eating vegetarian from time to time. I recently ate at that Chiang Mai vegetarian staple; Khun Churn on Nimmanhaemin Soi 17. Set in a peaceful garden setting, they have misting fans blowing during the day to keep things cool. Night time seemed cool enough without the mist, but we still liked to sit near the fan in this heat.
