Unity and harmony for
the new school year

Rajabhat University Chiang Mai held its
welcoming ceremony for incoming freshmen students on June 14. More than 6,000
students, professors and staff participated in the event which was held to
promote unity and love among students, to honor His Majesty the King and
celebrate the country. Titled, “Unite for love and harmony for the freshmen
students”, the event featured dance performances from the University level
winning cheerleading squad, Twister Force, D-Dance, and the Seacon Square
cheerleaders. Assist. Prof. Dr. Ruangdej Wonglar, the President of Rajabhat
University, Chiang Mai presided over the opening ceremony welcoming the students,
and said that the event was held to promote the reduction of conflict in
politics and in society and to help bring normality back to the country.

Strong winds hit Chiang Mai

Strong winds from the storm that struck Chiang Mai
city on June 14 at 5:30 p.m. uprooted a large tree which fell on a nearby parked
car near Wat Phra Singh Worawiharn, nobody was injured in this incident although
one injury was reported due to the storm in other areas of the city.
