The Empress Hotel, Chiang Mai hired Mahachak Development Co, Ltd. to re-design lighting, audio and visual systems for the hotel’s Imperial Ballroom, after 18 years of operation and service. Kanog Suvanavisutre, seated left, the hotel’s General Manager, initiated the plan and signed the contract with Pongsakorn Kanchanachaiphum, Mahachak Development’s General Manager. The room will be modernized with high technology such as Line Array sound and speakers, digital mixer and the interior decoration will be by done by Bent Severin & Associates Co., Ltd. The 30 million baht upgrade is expected to finish in August 2010.

Dr. Zhu Weimin, 2nd right, the Chinese Consul General in Chiang Mai, recently hosted a luncheon farewell for the outgoing U.S. Consul General Michael Morrow at the Royal Princess Hotels’ Jasmine Chinese Restaurant. Amnuay Wanpen, 3rd right, the hotel manager presented a bouquet of flowers to offer Michael Morrow best wishes. With them, was Japanese Consul General Junko Yokota, 3rd left.

Niwatcharee Wangsunthorn, General Manager of Amari Rincome Hotel in Chiang Mai recently led the hotel staff to join hands in helping clean up the Nimmanhaeminda road, as a good deed for Chiang Mai city and the community.  They started from the Amari Rincome intersection and finished at the Ton Payorm market intersection, covering a distance of about one and a half kilometers.
