Dr. Chao Duangduen na Chiengmai, 5th left, President of the Chiang Mai Provincial Cultural Council, graciously presided over the Opening ceremony of the Arts and Cultural exhibition held to honor His Majesty the King’s great kindness at Central Airport Plaza in Chiang Mai recently. She was welcomed by Parida Wimolphan, 6th left, chairperson of the organizing committee, members and guests of honor.


The Thailand Textile Industry Association, Thai Lanna Textile Industry Association and the Small and Medium Enterprises Promotion organized the Lanna Thai Textile Fair 2010 from November 17-22 at the Plaza Chiang Inn in Chiang Mai. Surapong Pongdecthkajorn, 8th left, Secretary - General of the Ministry of Industry presided over the Opening ceremony; with Chiang Mai Governor ML Panadda Diskul, 9th left, and Vikorn Promchana, 7th left, President of Thai Lanna Textile Industry Association. The event served as a good quality of Thai textiles all over Thailand and also featured a range of hand made products in specially designs, with spectacular fashion shows by the Thai Lanna Textile Industry Association. Mrs. Elaine Yue, General Manager of Shangri-La Hotel, Chiang Mai recently welcomed H.E Mr. Wu Bangguo, Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress of the People’s Republic of China and Mrs. Zhang Ruizhen, the Chairman’s wife during their official visit to Thailand.
