QUIRKY PICS

Tom sent this one in, he said that while it is not a quirky sign, it certainly is quirkily random. This little clay dog was left by the side of the electric pole on Nimmanhaemin. When he walked by a few days later, sadly someone had smashed it up. “Probably a drunk lurching down the street, we get a lot of those on Nimmanhaemin late at night.”

Chiang Mai and Thailand are full of funny, quirky signs and other interesting things. Some that make us laugh, some that make us think and some that just leave us scratching our heads. Oftentimes the wry sense of humor that is so prevalent in Thailand shines through. Readers are invited to send their quirky photos to the Chiang Mai Mail, so next time you see a funny sign or interesting sight, whip out the camera phone and send it to [email protected]

Ron sent this one in, seen near the elevator at a condo building here in Chiang Mai. He said he certainly hopes not as he loves animals himself.
