Northern Food and Green Products Expo

The grand opening of the Northern Food and Green Products Expo 2012 had representatives from Chiang Mai, Lampang and Lamphun join the Deputy Governor of Mae Hong Son on stage to open the event.

A food festival was held at Central Airport Plaza last month to celebrate Northern food products. The event saw food and products from around the North for sale as well as equipment and Royal Project vegetables.

There was coffee from around the region including a friendly man who was selling coffee blended from the various Dois around the North called Alti Coffee and available at the huge Yok Inter store on the superhighway. There were snacks, packages of spices and unique flavoring for rice produced by Urban Farm Seasoning including Green Curry flavors that really tasted like green curry.

The charming Smith Taweelerdniti, Managing Director of Nithi Foods, explained that they were working on exporting the products to Japan and the United States. The event was widely popular and saw many people visiting booths to taste test and take home bags of purchased goods.

The food festival featured hilltribe coffee as well as many other northern products from Lampang, Lamphun, Mae Hong Son and Chiang Mai.
