Owners of Soho Bar and Guesthouse Krathai and Shauna are joined by good friend Wouter at their Thanksgiving Day bash at Soho on Thursday, November 22, 2012. Shauna and Krathai performed for their guests after dinner.


Ongkarn ‘JoJo’ Chaiongkarn hosted his birthday party at the B2 Premier Hotel on Canal Road on Saturday, November 24, 2012. JoJo picked a pajama party theme for his rooftop party which featured cushions and models wearing sexy pajamas. Although the rainstorm interrupted the party for a while, his friends and co-workers continued the fun. Guests were encouraged to bring toys and all toys brought to the party were donated to a children’s orphanage.


Tim McGuire of Segway Gibbon is joined by Bake n Bite owner Gai and his good friend Gai at the lavish Thanksgiving Dinner held annually at Bake n Bite in Wat Gate.


The newest venue to open in the Nimmanhaemin area, Y Lover, had their grand opening on Thursday, November 22, 2012 at the Jira Wasa complex on Soi 13. Vut Borisut of Wine Direct is working with Y Lover to offer fine wines at reasonable (by Thai standards) prices. He has been travelling around the region to find suppliers and exporters of wines from around the world and brings them back to Chiang Mai for wine lovers to enjoy. Chiang Mai resident Cattaleeya Schulze won the Ms. Hardrock Southeast Asia in Penang recently. . Cattaleeya was one of the selected winners of the Ms. Hardrock in Pattaya in September and went to take part in the Ms. Hard Rock SEA in Penang from 15 to 18 November. The contestants were from Indonesia, Thailand, and Malaysia with 3 girls selected from each country. The first night they introduced themselves wearing their own ‘rock style; followed by a bikini contest wearing sponsor’s Roxy Bikinis and Vanessa Diamonds. Then each contestant took part in a talent segment where Catt (center) performed Proud Mary by Tina Turner to win the title.
