Former head of the Tourism Authority of Thailand Chiang Mai office, now head of the Dubai office, Chalermsak Suranant returned to his hometown to host his daughter Somphor’s wedding to Hong Kong native John at the beautiful Lanna Rice Barn in a traditional Lanna wedding. Here he and his wife are joined by Chao Duangduan na Chiang Mai, President of the Chiang Mai Culture Council and Mayor Tussanai Buranupakorn as they wait to greet the couple.


Nok and Theresa Kongtham of Nok Em Ded jewelry join one of the Care for Dogs volunteers at their benefit concert held at a private home near Wing 41 on Saturday, December 1, 2012. Care for Dogs provides sterilization and treatment for homeless dogs as well as finds homes for many dogs needing a home. Anyone interested in helping can check their website www.carefordogs.org.


6-time Grammy winning ukulele player Daniel Ho, Alan and Paul Okami, and Miyu visited Chiang Mai as part of the Hawaii Fest sponsored by the U.S. Embassy and U.S. Consulate in Chiang Mai as part of the celebrations in honor of 160 years of Thai-U.S. relations. The event was held on December 1 and 2 at Central Airport Plaza.


The new Ducati Showroom opened on Saturday, December 8, 2012 at Nimmanhaemin soi 9. The grand opening party featured big bikes of all kinds filling the soi. The Ducati staff and friends enjoyed cocktails, canapés and big bikes.
