Chansom Memorial Bridge to be re-built

The Chansom Memorial Bridge- the foot bridge near Waroros Market, will be torn down and rebuilt at the cost of 8.73 million baht, construction is expected to take around a year. Construction was scheduled for 2011 – 2012 but flooding delayed the start.

Lin Ping to stay in Chiang Mai for 15 more years

Thailand reached a preliminary agreement with China after negotiations to keep Thailand’s favorite panda, Lin Ping, in Chiang Mai. They reached a preliminary agreement that Lin Ping could stay in Thailand for a further 15 years.

The Thailand Under-19 team has just returned from Malaysia after taking part in the ACC Under-19 Elite Cup. The boys learnt some harsh lessons as they discovered the great strength of junior cricket in countries across Asia but they showed great heart and determination in winning their last match by defeating Qatar by 34 runs to finish in ninth place.
