H.E. Mr. Mohammad Javad Mohammadizadeh, Vice President of the Islamic Republic of Iran visited Chiang Mai Night Safari after attending the 2nd Asia-Pacific Water Summit on Monday 20 May 2013. ‘It’s been our great honour that the Vice President of Iran and his group paid so much attention to our night Safari Tram Ride and enjoyed animals feeding up close.’ said Songsak Sudasna Na Ayudhya, Director of Operation and Maintenance Chiang Mai Night Safari. NimnualTanyawattanotai, Chief of Marketing & Sales, Chiang Mai Night Safari who attended the Arabian Travel Market held in Dubai, the United Arab Emirates in early May said ‘We’re so delighted to welcome Mr. Vice President and his group and would like to invite travellers from Iran and the Middle East to experience the pleasant atmosphere of the nature, surrounding by the beautiful mountain and the lake. They can enjoy breathtaking moments with a total of 1,503 exotic animals, 162 species, across 5 geographic zones including the white lion, a scarce animal which has only 300 left in the world. They can also indulge into the greatest Musical Fountain, performances, a tasteful restaurant and plenty of other entertainment and activities. All in one, at Chiang Mai Night Safari.’


Rudi Langenhorst - a retired German Canadian businessmen recently celebrated his 90th birthday with about 45 friends at the Empress Hotel Chiang Mai. Chiang Mai Mail Special Correspondent Dirk Weeber Arayatumsopon - pictured here with the birthday child, gave, in the name of the Thailandfriends organization (where Rudolf Langenhorst is an active member) a special gift: antique currency from the German Empire and the Inflation, which is the same age than Rudi himself - 90 years.


Usa Boonchalakulkosol, Director of Sales & Marketing from the Holiday Inn Chiang Mai joined the “Arabian Travel Mart” (ATM 2013) from May 6 – 9, 2013 at Dubai International Convention Center, the United Arab Emirates. Holiday Inn Chiang Mai joined the Thai Pavilion Booth with TAT Chiang Mai aimed to boost the Middle East Market to Chiang Mai city.

Mr. Torsten van Dullemen, General Manager of Mandarin Oriental Dhara Dhevi, Chiang Mai warmly welcomed Her Excellency Sheikh Hasina,Prime Minister of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh to stay at the resort for the 2nd Asia-Pacific Water Summit Leaders’ Forum on 20 May 2013 at the International Convention and Exhibition Centre Commemorating His Majesty’s 7th Cycle Birthday Anniversary in Chiang Mai.
